Sutter Portal Photo Limits
The Sheriff's older custody-status page describes the online search as providing details that can include photographs, but the current Sutter-specific Zuercher configuration says booking photos are not displayed. The current portal text should control user expectations. Search the 24-hour releases workflow for custody and release status, but do not expect a public booking photo to appear in the current portal.
No official Sutter Sheriff mobile app publishing recent-release mugshots was confirmed in the research. VINELink is the notification channel, not a Sutter mugshot app. If a future app is confirmed by an official source, it should still be checked against the current AB 994 and Penal Code section 13665 limits before treating it as a photo source.
Requesting a Booking Photo
A booking-photo request should be narrow and purpose-neutral. The county's Public Records Act materials say citizens can request public information held by state and local agencies when it cannot be obtained through the website. A request for a Sutter County booking photo should identify the person and the specific booking event, while recognizing that exemptions or redactions may apply.
